British, Thomas Edward Lawrence, died at the age of 47. He was the British liaison officer during the Arab Revolt of 1916 to 1918. He is considered as a hero of both the British and the Arab people. |

Cambodian dictator, Pol Pot, was born in the province of Kompong Thom, Cambodia. His regime in Cambodia was considered as one of he most repressive communist regimes of the 20th century and over two million people are rumoured to have died over the course of his 3 year leadership (1976 - 1979). |

Vietnamese leader, Ho Chi Minh, was born in Hoang Tru Village, Vietnam. He was the leader of the communist/nationalist movement in Vietnam and its first president after it was recognized as an independent state.
