Astronaut, Neil Armstrong, was born in Wapakoneta, Ohio. Along with fellow astronaut Buzz Aldrin, he was the first human to set foot on the Moon.

American director, John Huston, was born in Nevada, Missouri. He was one of the most celebrated directors of the mid 20th century.
1884 
Construction of the Statue of Liberty began in New York.
1620 
The Mayflower set sail from the port of Southampton, England. It was the ship that transported the Pilgrims from Plymouth, England, to Plymouth Colony, Massachusetts (United States).

Henry I was crowned King of England.
