This year in history
In the year 1794

	February 4th	Slavery was abolished throughout the French Republic.
	February 12th	Russian chess master, Alexander Petrov, was born in Biserovo. He is considered as the first Russian chess grandmaster.
	July 28th	French Revolutionary, Maximilien Robespierre, died at the age of 36. He was one of the most known leaders of the French Revolution. He was executed shortly after the revolution by a rivalling faction.
