This year in history
In the year 1837

	June 20th	Queen Victoria ascended to the British throne. Her reign, also known as the Victorian Era, brought the British empire its zenith, making it foremost global power of the time.
	July 18th	Bulgarian revolutionary, Vasil Levski, was born in Karlovo. He is one of Bulgaria's greatest national heroes, who led the revolution of Bulgaria against Ottoman rule.
