In the year 1782

	January 7th	The first American commercial bank opened for the public.
	October 27th	Italian violinist and composer, Niccolo Paganini, was born in Genoa. He is considered to have been one of the greatest violinists of all time.
	November 30th	The American Revolutionary War came to an end as the United States and Britain signed a preliminary peace treaty in Paris, France.
