7th
Commodus was proclaimed emperor of Rome. He is most known for his passion of Gladiatoral fighting, of which he frequently took part himself, even if it was at the charge of one million sesteres for each of his appearances in the arena. In 192AD he renamed Rome to Colonia Commodiana and had the months of the calendar named in his honor.
