This year in history
In the year 1695

	July 8th	Dutch scientist, Christiaan Huygens, died at the age of 65. He helped develop calculus and is also famous for discovering the moon of Saturn, Titan.
	November 21st	English composer, Henry Purcell, died at the age of 36. He was a composer of Baroque music and is widely considered as one of the greatest British composers of all time.
	December 31st	In Britain a tax was imposed on glass windows of shops. It had the effect causing many shopkeepers to brick up their windows.
