This year in history
In the year 1215

	June 15th	King John of England put his seal on the Magna Carta. The Magna Carta required the king to renounce certain rights, respect certain legal procedures and accept that the will of the king could be bound by law. It is widely considered as one of the most important documents in the history of democracy.
	September 23th	Ruler of the Mongol Empire, Kublai Khan, was born. He was the grandson of Genghis Khan, and the last of the great Khans.
